Cook, Part time
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Sutherlands. As a Cook, you
will play a crucial role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents
based on a set menu, contributing to their overall well-being and satisfaction.
Hours: No less than 27hrs per week (over 3 or 4 days a week, 7:30am – 2pm & 3pm
– 5.30pm, including alternate weekends)
Salary: £12.10ph
Work Location: Sutherlands Care Home, 136 Norwich Road, Wymondham, Norfolk
Job Description
· Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and evening meals based on a set menu
developed by our Head Chef
· Ensure all food is prepared and brought out to residents in a timely manner and
ensure excellent presentation of meals
· Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
· Assist with catering events as needed
· Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and hygiene standards is always maintained
· Maintain a clean and organised work area
· Take into account any special dietary and allergen requirements
Person Specification:
· Ability to work in an organised and disciplined manner
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· You will need to be able to work well in a team and be comfortable liaising with
other staff, volunteers and residents.
· Organised, enthusiastic, committed and methodical in approach.
Desirable Experience:
· Previous experience as a Chef/Cook
· Knowledge of food safety regulations
· Proficiency in various cooking techniques for meal preparation
